12 hour wait is totally unacceptable
Although fully booked for appointments today the staff (especially Jelena) were very accommodating in helping with my Mum.
She was requested to have blood testing following an outpatient appointment but would struggle to come back to the clinic another day due to her health. Staff were empathetic to this.
Nick my physiotherapist has been extremely thorough from the time I received my telephone consultation with him. I have had three face to face sessions with him so far and he has helped immensely with my treatment. Following a series of exercises, together with physical manipulation of my neck and back, I am feeling a great improvement .
Nick is very approachable and he makes sure that he has attained as much information about my condition and takes the time to answer my questions without making me feel rushed.
I have in previous years been to KGH and Queens for other forms of physio which have not helped in the slightest and were never hands on, merely handed over a fact sheet and exercises to get on with and always seen by junior physios. Nick is experienced, knowledgeable and I look forward to receiving treatment from him for a second referral for elbow tendonitis.
I was fitted with a cathater with no explanation as to how to sleep with it. Waited for 12 hours without any doctor advice. In the end threatened to go home when the doctor overheard & looked at my notes. Still no advice on cathater care or use. Apart from the cathater being fitted within half hour of coming to A&E rest of care was a disaster.
Seen quickly and kept informed of test results and discharged on completion of examination and diagnosis.
Came in with concussion and brain scan conducted to check. This took about 8 hours but appreciate the thoroughness of the care and assessments made. Also appreciated the tea/coffee service while waiting - this was a nice human touch. This was very different to my previous experience of concussion treatment in July 22 at King George’s where the initial assessment referral was long and without seating. I collapsed after hours of waiting standing up and had to have an emergency scan and no beds were available.
Great service, great treatment clearly understood all that was happening and why.
My medication is never correct or ready and I always have to come back on another day
All the staff were very friendly and helpful especially Debbie the lung nurse. The doctor was very patient with my husband who tends not to listen.
All staff were courteous and polite had a laugh with a couple of the staff members
